JKR Limbang and SIMU Monitor Kampung Tengah Trusan Mosque Project

LAWAS – The Limbang Public Works Department (JKR) and the Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit have conducted a site visit to review progress on the Kampung Tengah Trusan Mosque project in Lawas.

The visit took place on 19 August at Lot 1016, Block 10, Trusan Land District, where the delegation assessed the latest development and implementation of the project under the supervision of JKR Limbang.

The inspection was intended to determine whether construction was progressing in accordance with the approved plans, specifications and project schedule.

The delegation was led by Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit director Puan Hajah Sapiah Daud, accompanied by officers and representatives from relevant parties involved in the project.

Representing JKR Limbang were Assistant Divisional Engineer Ir Ts Br PMr QPr Awangku Fakrulnizam Awang Madohi, Civil Engineer Mohd Safarnie and Assistant Civil Engineer Andrian Marsden.

During the working visit, the officials inspected the project site and received updates on the current status of construction.

Discussions were also held with the relevant parties to review progress and identify matters requiring further attention. The meeting also covered follow-up actions intended to ensure that work remains aligned with the project’s requirements.

Site monitoring is an important part of the implementation process for public infrastructure projects, allowing authorities to assess actual progress and address emerging issues during construction.

JKR Limbang said regular monitoring would continue throughout the project to help identify potential constraints, issues or delays at an early stage.

Early identification of such matters allows the relevant parties to coordinate appropriate action and make adjustments where necessary to keep construction moving according to the planned schedule.

The monitoring exercise also provides an opportunity for the implementing department and oversight agencies to review whether work on site is being carried out in line with the required specifications.

The Kampung Tengah Trusan Mosque project is expected to provide a place of worship and community facility for residents in the surrounding area once construction is completed.

The latest site visit reflects continued coordination between JKR Limbang and the Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit in overseeing the progress of development projects under the department’s supervision.

JKR Limbang said it would continue conducting periodic inspections and working with the relevant parties to ensure that the project progresses in an orderly manner.

The department also expressed hope that the mosque project would be completed successfully and ultimately provide benefits to the local community.
