Sarawak Police Honor 218th Police Day with Grand Commemoration

Kuching, 25 March 2025 – The Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters hosted a grand 218th Police Day Commemoration Assembly, with Sarawak Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Saifullizan Ishak, leading the celebration at the Senior Officers’ Mess Hall this morning.

The event began with a patriotic atmosphere as attendees proudly sang Negaraku, Ibu Pertiwiku, and Sang Saka Biru, symbolizing loyalty to the nation and the force. Ustaz Khalmi Kaluni from JIPS IPK Sarawak then led the prayer recitation, followed by the solemn recitation of the Rukun Negara pledge, led by DSP Barry William, the Sarawak IPK Licensing Staff Officer.

In his speech, DCP Saifullizan Ishak conveyed an encouraging message from the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, emphasizing the importance of dedication, integrity, and teamwork in law enforcement. His speech also recognized the relentless efforts of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in ensuring peace and security across the nation.

The event saw the attendance of several high-ranking officers, including:
SAC Rizal Abd Rahman Sidek – Head of the Sarawak Contingent Management Department
SAC Mohd Taufik Toh Abdullah – Head of Sarawak Special Branch
SAC Wong Ing Fung – Head of Sarawak Contingent JPJKK

Alongside these senior officers, numerous Sarawak IPK staff participated in the assembly, reinforcing their commitment to upholding justice.

This year’s Police Day celebration served as a reminder of the vital role played by the PDRM in protecting the people and fostering a safer Malaysia. The event not only strengthened the spirit of camaraderie among police personnel but also reaffirmed their dedication to the service of the nation.
