SUPP's MobileService2U Resumes Post-CNY Engaging Padungan Community

SUPP’s MobileService2U Resumes Post-CNY: Engaging Padungan Community

KUCHING – On Saturday, February 8, 2025, the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) recommenced its MobileService2U sessions following the Chinese New Year festivities. The event took place at Mee Sin Cafe in Padungan from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, featuring the active participation of MBKS Councillors Liew Leong Yee and Eric Tay Tze Kok, along with a dedicated team.

The MobileService2U initiative is designed to bring SUPP’s services directly to the community, facilitating face-to-face interactions between the public and their local representatives. This approach allows residents to voice concerns, provide feedback, and seek assistance on various municipal matters in a convenient setting.

Councillor Liew Leong Yee emphasized the importance of such engagements, stating, “Bringing our services to the community fosters trust and ensures that we remain attuned to the needs of our constituents.”

Similarly, Councillor Eric Tay Tze Kok highlighted the initiative’s role in strengthening community bonds. “These sessions not only address immediate concerns but also build a sense of unity and collaboration between the council and residents,” he remarked.

Attendees at the Mee Sin Cafe session raised various topics, including local infrastructure improvements, waste management, and community event planning. The councillors and their team provided on-the-spot solutions where possible and took note of issues requiring further attention.

The choice of Mee Sin Cafe in Padungan as the venue underscores SUPP’s commitment to engaging with diverse communities within Kuching. By selecting accessible and familiar locations, the MobileService2U sessions aim to encourage higher participation and ensure that services are within reach for all residents.
