Tragic 3AM Car Crash in Kuching: 1 Dead, 3 Injured

KUCHING, Jan 26 — A single-vehicle accident in front of a hotel here claimed the life of a woman and left three others injured in the early hours of the morning.

The incident, which occurred around 3am, involved a car carrying four women. According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), their team received an emergency call at 3.23am and quickly dispatched firefighters from the Padungan station to the scene.

“Upon arrival, it was discovered that the accident involved a car with a female driver and three female passengers,” stated Bomba in their report.

<strong>Swift Emergency Response</strong>

The report revealed that two of the victims were rescued by the police and sent to the hospital for medical attention. However, the other two passengers were trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters worked swiftly to extricate them from the wreckage.

Unfortunately, one of the victims, who was the front-seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene by Health Ministry officials. The remaining victim suffered injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

<strong>Operation Concludes</strong>

Bomba confirmed that the rescue operation ended at 4.36am after securing the site. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
