KGC & SCHB Mobile Services Return to Miri on 9–10 August

MIRI – The mobile counter service for the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) and Senior Citizen Health Benefit Scheme (SCHB) is returning this weekend, offering senior citizens a chance to register conveniently at two strategic locations in Miri.

Organised by the Senadin DUN Service Centre in collaboration with the Miri Division Social Welfare Department, the two-day event will be held at:

  • Emart Tudan: 9 August 2025 (Saturday)
  • Emart Riam: 10 August 2025 (Sunday)
Operating hours for both venues are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This initiative reflects the Sarawak government’s continued efforts to deliver people-centric services, particularly to citizens aged 60 and above.

Through this service, applicants will be able to:

  • Apply for and receive the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) on-site
  • Register for the Senior Citizen Health Benefit Scheme (SCHB) with assistance from tribal leaders or kapitans

This weekend’s programme follows the overwhelming response from the previous series held in October and November 2024, where more than 7,000 applications were successfully processed across four days.

Several partners are supporting this initiative:

  • AFFIN Bank Sarawak will operate a special counter for account openings and financial product briefings.
  • Telekom Malaysia (TM) is contributing internet support for smoother processing.
  • Emart Tudan and Emart Riam Management are providing venues for the event.

Senior citizens are encouraged to bring their MyKad and relevant supporting documents to ensure a smooth registration process.
