Maxim Malaysia Spreads Ramadan Aid Across Sarawak

Maxim Malaysia Spreads Ramadan Aid Across Sarawak

KUCHING, March 19 — In the spirit of Ramadan, e-hailing company Maxim Malaysia stepped beyond its daily transport services to carry out charitable initiatives across Sarawak, benefiting orphanages and tahfiz institutions in Kuching, Bintulu and Miri.

The initiative, held in conjunction with the holy month, reflects the company’s commitment to community service and corporate social responsibility. Ramadan is widely regarded as a time of reflection and generosity, and Maxim Malaysia marked the occasion by delivering practical assistance and financial contributions to selected welfare homes and religious institutions.

In Kuching, the Maxim team visited Baiturrahmah Welfare Home, where volunteers carried out minor repair and maintenance works. The team repaired leaking pipes, fixed broken doors, repainted walls and addressed faulty electrical switches. The effort aimed to provide a safer and more comfortable living environment for the residents. According to representatives, the improvement works were conducted to ensure the home remains conducive and well-maintained for its occupants.

In Bintulu, Maxim collaborated with seven of its drivers to form a convoy to Institut Tahfiz Bintulu. The team delivered essential food supplies, including rice, cooking oil and milk, to support the institution’s daily needs. In addition, RM300 in transportation assistance was handed over to help ease logistical expenses. The contribution was received by Ustaz Husin, who expressed appreciation for the support provided during the fasting month.

The outreach programme continued in Miri, where the team visited Maahad Tahfiz An Naim in Lutong. Apart from supplying food provisions, Maxim also extended transport assistance and distributed duit raya contributions to 20 students in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. The gesture was intended to bring encouragement and festive cheer to the students.

A spokesperson for Maxim Malaysia said the company believes in serving not only through its e-hailing platform but also by contributing positively to the communities where it operates. The initiative across Sarawak demonstrates the company’s ongoing presence and support for local residents, particularly during significant religious occasions.

As Hari Raya approaches, such efforts highlight the importance of unity, compassion and shared responsibility within society. Maxim Malaysia reaffirmed its commitment to continue engaging in community-driven activities in Sarawak and other parts of the country.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all celebrating, and may the festive season bring joy and blessings to every home.
