APM Mukah Safely Removes A Pelangi Snake from Home

MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) successfully captured a rainbow snake near a residential property in Mukah on 14 June 2026, following a report from a concerned member of the public.

The incident was classified as a snake-catching case (KMU) and was handled by the Mukah District Operations Centre (PKOD).

Upon arrival, the APM team identified the reptile, which measured approximately 15 inches in length, resting at the side of a house.

Using specialised equipment and the recommended technique of pinning, the officers managed to secure the snake without incident.

The operation was completed swiftly, and the area was declared safe. No injuries or unwanted events were reported during the intervention.
