UNIFOR Mobile Office Brings ORSEM Services to Sibu

SIBU – The Other Religions Affairs Unit (UNIFOR) launched its Central Zone Mobile Office Programme in Sibu on 23 February 2026, aiming to make services more accessible for houses of worship seeking financial assistance and management support. The event took place at RH Hotel, beginning at 9.00 am.

The initiative is designed to streamline applications through the Other Religions Service Management System (ORSEM), a digital platform introduced by the Sarawak Government to modernise service delivery.

The programme was carried out in collaboration with Sarawak Information Systems (SAINS) and the Sarawak State Service Digitalisation Unit (SCSDU), reflecting the state’s wider push towards digitalisation.

Applicants are required to have a SarawakPass and Corporate ID to access ORSEM. For houses of worship that have yet to meet these requirements, UNIFOR will continue to organise Mobile Office sessions to assist with registration and applications.

Those already equipped with a Corporate ID can submit funding requests directly through the system, provided all supporting documents are complete.

During the programme, UNIFOR set up ORSEM kiosks and service counters to provide advisory support and hands-on guidance.

Services offered included assistance with fund applications, status checks, registration of new worship profiles, updating existing records, and guidance on using the ORSEM platform.
