The programme began as early as 5.00 am with aerobic exercises to energise participants before the run. The departure ceremony was officiated by Deputy Director of the Development Sector of the Sarawak Department of Agriculture, Mr. Gilbert Igi, alongside Sebauh District Officer Thaddeus Ling Bartholomew Allu and Bintulu Divisional Agriculture Officer Jackson Nanta anak Barnabas Baie. Their presence underscored the significance of the event as part of the wider Agrofest agenda.

The fun run was designed not only as a recreational activity but also as a platform to promote wellness and encourage community participation. Organisers emphasised that the event reflects Agrofest’s broader mission of integrating agriculture, tourism, and community development. By combining physical activity with agricultural promotion, the festival aims to foster holistic well-being among participants.

Participants from diverse backgrounds joined the run, creating a cheerful and inclusive atmosphere. Families, youth groups, and local entrepreneurs all took part, demonstrating how Agrofest serves as a unifying event for the Sebauh community. The lively atmosphere was marked by camaraderie and shared commitment to healthy living.

The Sebauh Agrofest Fun Run 2026 also highlighted the role of recreational activities in supporting rural development. By encouraging participation in health-oriented programmes, organisers aim to build stronger community bonds while promoting Sebauh as a destination for agro-tourism. The event showcased how agriculture-related festivals can extend beyond traditional exhibitions to include lifestyle and wellness initiatives.

Agrofest Sebauh 2026 has been positioned as a comprehensive platform for promoting agrofood development, community engagement, and tourism. The inclusion of the fun run reflects the organisers’ commitment to creating diverse activities that appeal to all segments of society. It also demonstrates how agricultural festivals can contribute to broader state objectives, including food security, community empowerment, and sustainable development.

Organisers expressed appreciation to all participants, secretariat members, and strategic partners who contributed to the success of the fun run. Their collective effort ensured the event was conducted smoothly and with full enthusiasm, adding to the festive spirit of Agrofest Sebauh 2026.

With the fun run successfully completed, Agrofest continues to offer a variety of programmes designed to engage the community, promote agricultural innovation, and strengthen Sarawak’s agrofood sector. The strong turnout and positive response to the fun run reaffirm Sebauh’s role as a hub for community-centred activities that combine agriculture, recreation, and sustainability.
