The unusual animals, known locally as “Trump” and “Netanyahu”, have been drawing large crowds to cattle farms near Dhaka as visitors flock to take photos and witness the rare buffaloes in person.

The first buffalo, named “Trump”, weighs around 700 kilograms and is kept at a farm in Narayanganj. The albino buffalo has pink skin and golden-coloured fur, features which many visitors say resemble the appearance and hairstyle of the American political figure.

According to local reports, the buffalo was given the nickname by the owner’s younger brother after they purchased the animal from a cattle market around 10 months ago. The resemblance quickly became a talking point on social media, with many users sharing photos and videos of the animal online.

One visitor told local newspaper Prothom Alo that the buffalo’s face shape and fur looked very similar to Trump’s hairstyle. However, the visitor joked that the animal’s calm behaviour was very different from the outspoken personality often associated with the former US President.

Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha said the buffalo has become extremely popular in recent weeks, especially as Eid al-Adha approaches. He added that dozens of people visit the farm daily to see and photograph the rare animal.

Mridha explained that albino buffaloes are generally gentle unless provoked. He also revealed that the buffalo had reportedly been sold at a rate of 550 Bangladeshi taka per kilogram and would soon be handed over to its new owner before Aidiladha.

Meanwhile, another albino buffalo named “Netanyahu” has also gained widespread attention due to its aggressive behaviour and striking appearance. The buffalo reportedly weighs more than 750 kilograms and is housed at the SS Cattle Farm.

Local media described the animal as having a “fighting temperament”, with some visitors claiming its eyes and fur resemble the Israeli Prime Minister. Unlike “Trump”, the “Netanyahu” buffalo is said to be difficult to handle.

A farm manager described the buffalo as naughty and cunning, saying it often snorts and attempts to butt workers even during feeding time. According to the manager, most albino buffaloes at the farm tend to display aggressive behaviour.

The growing popularity of the two buffaloes has created a festive atmosphere ahead of Eid al-Adha in Bangladesh, with many families and social media users continuing to visit the farms daily. The rare animals have also sparked conversations online due to their unusual names and unique physical features.

As preparations for the religious celebration continue, the two albino buffaloes remain among the most talked-about attractions in the country’s livestock markets this year.
