APM Matu Destroys Large Wasp Nest Behind Village Home

MATU – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Matu successfully carried out an operation to remove a large wasp nest discovered behind a residence in Kampung Sekaan Besar on Monday.

The District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) confirmed receiving an emergency call from a resident who reported the presence of a nest roughly the size of a football on a tree near the back of the house.

Concerned for safety, the complainant requested immediate assistance. Upon arrival, APM personnel inspected the site and prepared the necessary equipment before commencing the operation.

The team deployed insecticide sprays, including Ridsect, and used controlled fire to destroy the nest. The procedure was completed efficiently, and the area was declared safe following the intervention.
