Large Wasp Nest Safely Removed by APM Along Jalan Sekaan

MATU – A swift operation was carried out by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Matu District after a sizeable wasp nest was discovered along Jalan Sekaan, Jemoremg, on Monday, 22 June 2026.

The District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) received an emergency call reporting the presence of the nest, which was described as being roughly the size of a football.

It had formed within bushes on the roadside, raising concerns for motorists and pedestrians in the area. Upon arriving at the location, APM personnel were guided by the complainant to the exact site of the nest.

Officers then prepared the necessary protective gear and equipment before commencing the removal process.
