A team of APM Pakan personnel was immediately dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, members identified the reptile and carried out the capture using safe handling techniques.

The snake was secured without incident, ensuring that neither the complainant nor the public were placed at risk.

The operation proceeded smoothly, with no injuries or complications reported. Once the situation was under control, the team confirmed that the area was safe before concluding the mission.

The swift response demonstrated the readiness of APM Pakan to act quickly in safeguarding residents from potential dangers posed by wildlife.

Local authorities have reminded the public to remain vigilant and to report sightings of snakes or other hazardous animals promptly.

Leaf snakes, while generally not aggressive, can cause alarm when found near residential areas. Timely reporting allows trained personnel to intervene and prevent unnecessary risks.

APM Pakan expressed appreciation to the community for their cooperation and highlighted the importance of public awareness in maintaining safety.

The incident reflects the effectiveness of coordinated emergency responses and the value of community engagement in protecting neighbourhoods.

The Civil Defence Force continues to emphasise its motto of being “ready to quickly be integrated”, underscoring its commitment to rapid mobilisation and efficient operations in response to emergencies across Sarawak.
