“In addition to these improvements, a public restroom will be constructed to better accommodate school events and activities involving the local community,” said Ding.

He further highlighted plans to collaborate with relevant government agencies to upgrade the main access road to the school. This initiative aims to ease parking congestion for visitors attending annual school events and other community programs.

During the visit, Ding also took time to explore SK Sungai Petai’s hydroponic vegetable farm, a project led by the school community. He praised the innovative efforts, noting that the farm is not only a learning platform for modern farming techniques but also a source of additional income for the school.

“The hydroponic vegetables, which will be ready for sale just 21 days after planting, provide an excellent opportunity for students and educators to develop practical agricultural skills,” he remarked. Proceeds from vegetable sales will be reinvested into the school, further benefiting the students and community.

These upgrades under the 2025 RTP showcase a commitment to improving educational facilities while fostering community engagement and innovation.
