BINTULU – The BDA Public Library in Bintulu, in collaboration with Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (YADIM) Sarawak, is continuing its New Muslim Study Classes for the 2026 session. The programme is designed for new converts (muallaf) and other Muslims who wish to strengthen their understanding of basic religious knowledge.
The classes, which began in December 2024, have been held consistently as a welcoming and inclusive platform for learning. They aim to help participants deepen their appreciation of Islamic teachings under the guidance of experienced instructors.
Key areas of study include the fundamentals of Fardhu Ain and the Quran. Sessions are interactive, allowing participants to engage directly with qualified teachers while also building bonds of friendship and support among fellow learners.
Classes take place every Monday and Wednesday from 8.30 pm to 10.00 pm at the Multipurpose Room of the BDA Public Library in Bintulu. The sessions are led by Ustazah Rabiatul Humaira, who holds official teaching accreditation (MIS 004420).
Importantly, there are no fees for participation. While priority is given to new converts, other Muslims seeking to refresh their knowledge of basic religious practices are also welcome, provided they register beforehand.
The BDA Public Library has positioned itself as an inclusive community hub, offering a conducive environment for continuous learning. The programme not only provides religious education but also fosters social connections and strengthens community ties.
Since its inception, the classes have become an important initiative in supporting new Muslims in their spiritual journey. With YADIM Sarawak’s involvement, the programme continues to grow, offering consistent opportunities for participants to expand their knowledge and practice.
