KUCHING, June 26, 2026 – Time may continue to move forward, but the loss of a loved one often remains deeply felt. For Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Abang Openg, the memory of his beloved wife, the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang, continues to hold a special place in his heart, one year after her passing.
The late Puan Sri Juma’ani passed away on June 23, 2025. June 23 this year marked the first anniversary of her passing, bringing back many cherished memories of the woman who stood beside the Premier throughout his personal life and public service.
Behind Abang Johari’s leadership and dedication to the development of Sarawak was a devoted wife who provided constant encouragement and unwavering support. Throughout the years, the late Puan Sri Juma’ani was not only his life partner but also a trusted companion who shared both the challenges and achievements of his journey.
Despite his busy schedule as the state’s leader, the memory of his late wife remains close to his heart. Every milestone achieved and every responsibility carried for the people of Sarawak serves as a reminder of the woman who quietly stood behind him, offering prayers, love, and strength without expecting anything in return.
The passing of the late Puan Sri Juma’ani also left a lasting impression on many Sarawakians. She was widely respected for her humble personality, gentle nature, and warm approach towards people from all walks of life. Whether attending official functions or community events, she was known for treating everyone with kindness and respect.
