Following the entrance, the couple took their places on the dais, where the formal rites continued. The spiritual aspect of the reception was led by Sahibul Fadhilah Dato’ Haji Mustapha Kamal, the Grand Imam of Sarawak.

He recited the doa selamat, a prayer for safety and well-being, invoking divine blessings upon the union. This religious component is a staple of Malay wedding traditions, emphasising the spiritual foundation of marriage.

In his remarks, the Governor expressed profound appreciation for the bond being sealed between the two families. He offered specific prayers that the couple’s household would be filled with mawaddah (affection), rahmah (mercy), and sakinah (tranquility).

These concepts are central to Islamic teachings on marriage, representing the ideal emotional and spiritual environment for a family.

Tun Wan Junaidi further prayed that Allah SWT would grant the couple lasting happiness and preserve the harmony of their new home.

He also asked for blessings upon their future offspring, wishing them righteous and pious children who would contribute positively to society.

Such sentiments are customary in high-level societal events, reflecting shared values regarding family stability and moral upbringing.

The choice of venue, a prominent hotel in the heart of Kuching, provided a suitable backdrop for the elaborate arrangements.

The event not only celebrated the personal joy of Dr. Amin and Dato’ Indera Puteri Munawarah but also served as a reminder of the interconnected nature of Malaysia’s elite circles.

Observers noted the seamless integration of Sarawakian state protocol with Pahang royal customs, illustrating the unity that persists across different regions of the federation.

The reception concluded with guests mingling in an atmosphere of cordiality, celebrating the start of a new chapter for the happy couple amidst the support of their esteemed community.
