KUCHING – The Governor of Sarawak, Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his spouse, Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, paid a recent visit to a private dental clinic in the Saradise commercial area along Jalan Stutong for routine oral care and specialised treatment.
They were welcomed by the clinic’s founding partners, Mr Bong Kuan Hwa, Dr Ariel Ling, and Dr Nichole Choo, along with the medical team who managed the visit and ensured all clinical procedures ran smoothly.
During the appointment, the governor underwent several advanced diagnostic and preventive procedures. One involved a full Cone Beam Computed Tomography, or CBCT, scan, which produces detailed three-dimensional images for accurate assessment of dental structures.
He also received Guided Biofilm Therapy, a modern, minimally invasive method used for thorough plaque removal and gum care.
The presence of such equipment reflects the steady growth of high-quality medical facilities in Kuching. CBCT imaging often supports complex treatments such as implants and oral surgery, while many clinics now use it for comprehensive dental evaluations.
After the session, the governor praised the standard of care provided by the local practitioners and thanked the team for their professionalism throughout the visit.
He also stressed the importance of preventive care, reminding the public that oral hygiene plays a key role in overall health. He encouraged Sarawakians to make full use of the expertise available within the state.
A clinic representative shared that His Excellency appreciated the hospitality shown during the visit and hoped the public would stay attentive to their dental health while such services remain within reach across Sarawak.
The visit reflects a wider effort by public figures to promote health awareness in the region. By choosing a local facility, the governor drew attention to the strength of the private healthcare sector in the state capital, where technology and professional standards continue to rise alongside the city’s growth.
