The visit involved Team Dr. Sim, officers from Sarawak Water Sdn Bhd, and representatives from the school management.

The inspection aimed to identify the root cause of the water supply issue and to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to resolve it.

According to the GPS DUN N.14 Batu Kawah Service Centre, the collaborative effort reflects the commitment of local representatives and utility providers to address community concerns promptly.

Low water pressure has been a recurring challenge in several parts of Kuching, particularly in areas experiencing rapid development and population growth.

Schools such as SK Stapok rely heavily on consistent water supply for sanitation, food preparation, and student welfare. Interruptions or reduced pressure can disrupt daily routines and pose health risks if not addressed quickly.

During the site visit, officers from Sarawak Water Sdn Bhd conducted checks on the infrastructure and supply lines serving the school. The findings will guide follow-up actions, including potential upgrades or adjustments to ensure stable water flow.

Team Dr. Sim emphasised that cooperation between government agencies, utility providers, and the school community is essential to achieving a long-term solution.

The Service Centre expressed appreciation to Sarawak Water Sdn Bhd and the school management for their cooperation throughout the inspection.

Their willingness to work together is seen as a positive step towards resolving the issue and ensuring that students and staff can carry out their activities without disruption.

Water supply management has become an increasingly important issue in Sarawak, with authorities working to balance rising demand against infrastructure capacity.

The state government has invested in upgrading water treatment plants and expanding distribution networks to meet the needs of growing communities.

However, localised issues such as those faced by SK Stapok highlight the importance of regular monitoring and responsive action.

Community leaders have noted that addressing water supply challenges is not only about infrastructure but also about ensuring that schools, hospitals, and residential areas receive priority attention.

Reliable water access is fundamental to public health, education, and economic activity, making inspections such as the one at SK Stapok a crucial part of ongoing development efforts.

The Batu Kawah Service Centre reaffirmed its commitment to continue monitoring the situation and to work closely with Sarawak Water Sdn Bhd until the matter is fully resolved.

The inspection serves as a reminder of the importance of proactive engagement between stakeholders to safeguard community wellbeing.
