Sarawak’s TYT Safely Returns from LIMA’25 and Hajj Ceremony

KUCHING, 24 May – The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, along with his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd. Sanusi, has safely returned to Sarawak today following two important official engagements in Peninsular Malaysia.

Their Excellencies arrived at Kuching International Airport this afternoon and were warmly welcomed by YB Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Sarawak and Minister of the Interior, and his wife Datin Sri Hajah Zuraini binti Abdul Jabbar. Also present were several high-ranking officials from the Sarawak State Palace.

On 23 May, Tun Pehin Sri attended the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA’25) in Langkawi, a prestigious event that showcases Malaysia’s defence and aerospace capabilities. A day earlier, on 22 May, he was present at the Safe and Farewell Prayer Ceremony for the Departure of Hajj 1446H held in Kuala Lumpur.

Tun Pehin Sri conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the Malaysian Ministry of Defence for the honour of being invited to LIMA’25, one of the largest exhibitions of its kind in the region. He expressed confidence that the event would fulfill its mission of strengthening national and international partnerships in the aerospace and maritime sectors.

Tun Pehin Sri also shared his prayers for Pulau Langkawi to continue prospering as a vital tourism and economic hub for the nation.
