Jeff Metcalf, the father of the victim, spoke with NBC 5, sharing his devastation and grief. He confirmed that his son, Austin Metcalf, was attacked by another student during a dispute over seating. According to Jeff, Austin did not know the attacker, and the confrontation began when the other student became upset after being told he was sitting in the wrong spot.

In an especially heartbreaking twist, Austin’s twin brother, Hunter, was present at the scene. Hunter witnessed the brutal stabbing and attempted to stop the bleeding as his twin brother fought for his life. The two brothers, who were inseparable, had shared everything, with Austin being born just two minutes before Hunter.
