KUCHING: The fasting month has only just begun, but the atmosphere at Warong Bunga Serai already feels festive as the restaurant officially launched its Juadah Istimewa 2026 promotion. On the third day of Ramadan, many customers were seen gathering early to enjoy the food and take advantage of special booking offers.
The launch of the JUH BOOK AWAL promotion has attracted strong attention from the public. With early booking discounts and group deals, Warong Bunga Serai is encouraging families, friends, and colleagues to plan their breaking-fast meals in advance. One of the main attractions is the value deal offered for group bookings, making it more affordable for larger gatherings.
This year’s food theme is “Kambing Bakar, Sotong XXXL dan Masakan Nostalgia”. The concept focuses on familiar Malaysian flavours that remind people of home-cooked meals and village-style cooking. Among the most talked-about dishes are the grilled lamb, known for its smoky taste, and the extra-large squid that stands out for its size and rich flavour. Traditional favourites such as salmon head curry are also served, adding to the nostalgic feel of the menu.
According to the restaurant, nearly 60 types of dishes are prepared each day, along with more than 10 kinds of drinks. The wide selection is meant to suit different tastes, from heavy meals to lighter options, while keeping the food simple and comforting, especially after a long day of fasting.

To welcome more guests, Warong Bunga Serai has set up seven large canopies. These canopies allow the restaurant to host up to 400 diners every evening. The Juadah Istimewa promotion runs from 20 February until 18 March 2026, giving customers plenty of time to plan their visits. A surau is also provided to make it easier for Muslim guests to perform their prayers.
Pre-booking is limited to 150 people per day, with special prices offered for adults, senior citizens, and children. Walk-in customers are also welcome, while group bookings enjoy extra promotions, including free seats for larger groups.
Warong Bunga Serai said the main aim is to bring people together during the fasting month. By sharing good food in a relaxed setting, the restaurant hopes to create meaningful moments for families and friends in Kuching.
