Civil Defence Destroys Wasp Nest in Mukah Safely

MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Mukah successfully destroyed a wasp nest discovered in a bush on Thursday, 18 June 2026, following a public complaint.

The District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) confirmed that it received an emergency call reporting the presence of the nest.

Concerned about the safety of residents, the complainant requested immediate assistance from APM officers.

Upon arrival, the team conducted a safety inspection and identified the nest, which was approximately the size of a football. Given the potential risks posed by wasps, the officers initiated a controlled destruction operation.
