TELANG USAN – A community-focused initiative known as Operation Ramah was carried out on 17 June 2026 in Telang Usan with the aim of identifying areas vulnerable to emergencies and potential disasters.
The exercise centred on the Old Long Waterfront, where the BRAVO squad, led by Pbt. (PA) Hilkia Balan Nuh, engaged in a friendly outreach operation at Long Lama.
The activity was designed to strengthen ties with residents while reinforcing awareness of early warning signs that could indicate risks to public safety.
The Civil Defence Force (APM) in Telang Usan reminded residents to remain vigilant and to recognise indicators that may precede emergencies.
Officials emphasised the importance of reporting any early information directly to APM, both before and during critical situations.
This proactive approach is intended to ensure swift responses and minimise potential harm. During the operation, no signs of danger or early warnings were detected.
The absence of incidents highlighted the value of preventive measures and community cooperation in maintaining safety standards.
The initiative also served as a reminder that preparedness is not only about responding to crises but also about building resilience through awareness and communication.
