SEMATAN – The Sematan District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) responded to a public emergency call on 15 June 2026 regarding the presence of several naning wasp nests near a resort.
The complainant reported that the nests were located in tree branches close to the accommodation area and requested assistance from the Civil Defence Force (APM) Sematan to remove them.
Insect nest destruction cases, categorised as MSS operations, are part of APM’s responsibilities to ensure community safety and prevent potential harm to residents and visitors.
Upon receiving the call, APM Sematan deployed its team to the site to carry out the removal. Such operations are conducted with specialised techniques to minimise risks to both the public and the personnel involved.
