APM Safely Destroys Wasp Nest in Selangau Storage

SELANGAU – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Selangau successfully destroyed a wasp nest discovered inside a storage area at a residence in Rumah Bayang, Ulu Sebadal Dijih, on Thursday, 18 June 2026.

The Selangau District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) confirmed that it received an emergency call from a member of the public reporting the presence of the insect nest.

Concerned about the safety of the household, the complainant requested immediate assistance from APM officers.

Upon arrival, the duty squad conducted a safety inspection of the premises. The team identified a wasp nest approximately the size of a takraw ball located in the store of the complainant’s house. Given the potential risks posed by wasps, the officers initiated a controlled destruction operation.
