The python had entered the coop, raising concerns for the safety of the livestock and nearby residents. A task force was immediately deployed to the location.

Upon arrival, officers carried out a safety inspection and identified the snake. Using pinching and snaring techniques, the team managed to secure the python safely without incident.

Batik pythons, while non-venomous, are powerful constrictors and can pose risks when found in residential or farming areas.

Their presence often causes alarm among residents, particularly in rural communities where encounters with wildlife are more common.

Emergency services across Sarawak have repeatedly reminded the public not to attempt handling snakes themselves, as trained personnel are equipped with protective gear and safe capture methods.

This latest case highlights the readiness of APM Mukah to respond to wildlife-related emergencies. The Civil Defence Force reiterated its commitment to community safety, stressing that its officers are prepared to act swiftly whenever threats arise.
