UDC Event 2026

Organised by GEKI Events Management, Otasobi 2026 continued its mission of promoting community bonding through the concept of “Asobi,” which focuses on play and interaction. The festival featured a wide range of activities including cosplay showcases, traditional Japanese-style games, card games, board games, and various hobby-based attractions. The event created a welcoming space where families, friends, and fans could enjoy shared experiences in a festive atmosphere.

Visitors described the event as energetic and engaging, with many activities running continuously from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM over both days. The strong turnout reflected growing interest in cultural-themed entertainment events in Sarawak, especially those that combine modern gaming culture with traditional elements.

The organisers also recognised the contribution of Sarawak Daily as the official media partner for the event. Through extensive coverage across its digital and social media platforms, Sarawak Daily played a key role in promoting Otasobi 2026 and helping it reach a wider audience.

During the event, the CEO of SarawakDaily was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Carol Chin, Creative Director of GEKI Events Management. The recognition highlighted SarawakDaily’s strong support in promoting the festival through consistent reporting, online updates, and active digital engagement.

The appreciation also reflected the importance of collaboration between media organisations and event organisers in ensuring successful large-scale community programmes.

Organisers also expressed appreciation to all visitors, participants, and volunteers who contributed to the smooth running of the festival. With its successful turnout and positive response, Otasobi is expected to return with even more interactive activities in the future.

The conclusion of Otasobi 2026 marks another strong example of how community-focused events can bring people together through creativity, play, and cultural exchange in Sarawak.
