The new office is expected to provide a modern, comfortable, and conducive environment for administrative operations. Once completed, it will serve as a central hub for government services, improving efficiency and offering friendlier, more accessible facilities for residents of Debak and surrounding communities.

Officials highlighted that the project reflects the Sarawak Government’s ongoing commitment to delivering quality public infrastructure. By investing in administrative facilities, the government aims to support socio-economic development and improve the well-being of local residents.

The ceremony was attended by YB Dato Dr. Richard Rapu @ Aman Anak Begri, Member of Parliament for P.204 Betong, alongside representatives from government agencies, department heads, community leaders, and invited guests. Their presence underscored the importance of the project for the wider Betong Division and its role in strengthening local governance.

The launch event included a symbolic project commencement and a photo session, creating a meaningful atmosphere that celebrated the start of construction. Attendees expressed optimism that the project would be implemented smoothly, safely, and with high quality standards to benefit the entire Debak community.

The Debak Sub-Division Office project is part of Sarawak’s broader infrastructure development agenda, which focuses on modernising facilities across rural and semi-urban areas. By providing improved administrative centres, the government seeks to ensure that residents have easier access to essential services, thereby fostering stronger community engagement and more effective governance.

Community leaders have welcomed the initiative, noting that the new office will not only improve service delivery but also serve as a symbol of progress for Debak. The facility is expected to enhance coordination between government agencies and provide a more conducive environment for public interactions.

The project also aligns with Sarawak’s vision of creating sustainable and resilient infrastructure. By prioritising quality and safety in construction, the government aims to deliver facilities that will serve communities for decades to come.

As construction begins, stakeholders remain hopeful that the project will be completed on schedule and will stand as a testament to the state’s commitment to inclusive development. The Debak Sub-Division Office is set to become a cornerstone of administrative efficiency and community service in the region.
