DEBAK – The Debak District Civil Defence Force (APM Debak) successfully carried out a rescue operation on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, after receiving reports of a puppy trapped in the netting of a futsal court.
The District Operations Control Centre confirmed that the emergency call was made by members of the public who noticed the young animal struggling to free itself.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the puppy in a weakened state, unable to escape from the tightly entangled net.
APM personnel acted swiftly, using appropriate equipment to carefully cut and untie the netting. The team worked cautiously to avoid causing injury to the animal during the process.
After being freed, the puppy was examined and found not to have sustained any serious injuries. It was later released into a safe area away from the court.
Animal-related emergencies are among the diverse cases handled by the Civil Defence Force, which regularly responds to incidents involving wildlife, domestic animals, and community hazards.
