SPAOH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Spaoh District successfully resolved a special service case on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, after assisting a resident whose car was accidentally locked with the key still inside.
The District Operations Control Centre reported that the incident occurred at 1.02pm in the Bangkit Kemantan area.
Mr Halery contacted APM Spaoh after his neighbour’s Proton Saga could not be opened due to the key being left inside the vehicle.
Three members of the Charlie Squad were immediately dispatched to the scene. Equipped with specialised tools, including a Door Opener Kit and rope, the officers managed to unlock the car door without causing any damage to the vehicle.
The operation was completed within minutes of their arrival, ensuring the situation was resolved quickly and safely.
Cases of locked vehicles are not uncommon, and APM Spaoh emphasised the importance of vigilance when handling car keys.
Officers advised the public to always double-check that keys are removed before leaving the vehicle to prevent similar incidents.
The Civil Defence Force highlighted that such special service operations are part of its broader responsibilities, which include responding to emergencies ranging from wildlife encounters to medical transfers and disaster management.
