MUKAH – The Mukah District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) responded swiftly on Sunday, 5 July 2026, after receiving an emergency call concerning an elderly man who was reported to be in distress.
The incident was categorised as a SKT (Painful) case. According to the report, the victim was experiencing weakness in his limbs, prompting immediate intervention from the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Mukah unit.
Upon arrival, APM personnel assessed the situation and transferred the man using a scoop stretcher to an ambulance. He was then taken to Mukah Hospital for further medical treatment. The operation was carried out smoothly, ensuring the victim received timely care.
Cases involving elderly individuals often require urgent response due to their vulnerability to sudden health complications. Emergency responders emphasise that rapid intervention can make a significant difference in preventing further deterioration.
