Kindness in Action: Good Samaritans Help Stranded Driver in Serian

SERIAN: A heartfelt story of kindness unfolded recently in Ranchan, Serian, when good Samaritans came to the aid of a stranded driver with a flat tire. The plea for help was posted in the Sarawak Road Update (SRU) Facebook group, and just 27 minutes later, kind-hearted individuals showed up to lend a hand.

The incident highlights the spirit of community that thrives among Sarawakians. One of the rescuers, however, remains unknown. Despite this, the act of helping a stranger in need speaks louder than words and serves as a reminder of the power of empathy and generosity.

“As much as we see others in need as a test for them, it’s actually a test for us—to see if we are willing to help,” said the SRU admin in their post.

About Sarawak Road Update (SRU)

Sarawak Road Update (SRU) is a popular social media platform dedicated to real-time road condition updates, traffic incidents, and infrastructure developments in Sarawak. With over 300,000 followers on Facebook, SRU has become a trusted source of information for road users.

Their updates cover everything from traffic congestion and accidents to road maintenance and weather-related issues. Recently, they warned motorists to be cautious after an accident on the Jalan Kuching-Samarahan Expressway, ensuring that the public stays informed and alert.

Community Spirit Shines Bright

The message from the SRU admin encourages everyone to continue spreading kindness, even if it often goes unnoticed. “May those who spread goodness be rewarded with the same in return,” they wrote, reminding us all of the value of compassion.

Later, an update included pictures of the individuals who assisted the stranded driver, allowing the community to recognize and celebrate these unsung heroes.

Kindness is contagious—may stories like this inspire more people to lend a helping hand.
