KPWK Mini Convention Showcases Innovation in Service Delivery

KUCHING – The Sarawak Ministry of Women, Children and Community Wellbeing (KPWK) successfully hosted its Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) Mini Convention on 28 and 29 April, bringing together 10 teams from the ministry and its agencies to showcase projects aimed at improving service delivery and organisational excellence.

The Sarawak Social Welfare Department (JKMS) fielded six groups, each presenting initiatives focused on welfare, improvement, and value creation.

They were joined by two teams from the Sarawak Women and Family Department (JWKS), one team from KPWK itself, and one from Sedidik Sdn Bhd.

The competition was evaluated by two experienced judges specialising in quality management, structured innovation, and service improvement. Their assessments highlighted the creativity and practical impact of the projects presented.

The results saw Sedidik’s team, Hachi Suno, clinching first place, followed by Kenyalang Drone from KPWK in second, and Ckei Nova from JKMS securing third.

These achievements reflect the diverse approaches taken by the groups in tackling organisational challenges and enhancing efficiency.

KPWK expressed its appreciation to all participating teams, particularly those representing JKMS, for their dedication and hard work.

The ministry emphasised that the projects presented have had a significant impact on departmental operations and service delivery, underscoring the importance of innovation in the public sector.
