KUCHING – The 2026 Sejijak Regatta concluded on 12 July with the much-anticipated final race of the River King category, marking the end of this year’s tournament in a vibrant display of Sarawak’s traditional water sports heritage.
The official closing ceremony was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof, who is also the Member of Parliament for P.194 Petra Jaya.
He attended the event with his wife, Datin Amar Hajah Ruziah binti Mohd Tahir, and presented prizes to the winners following the intense final race.
The regatta, which has become a staple in Sarawak’s cultural calendar, drew participants and spectators from across the state.
