KUCHING — The Borneo International Consumer Expo 2026 (BICE 2026) officially came to a close today after four days of vibrant activities at the Metrocity Convention Centre, marking another successful chapter for one of the region’s most anticipated consumer and trade events.

He noted that the expo aligned well with Sarawak’s long-term vision to strengthen its position as a key economic and trade hub for the Borneo region. According to him, BICE is not merely a commercial exhibition, but a strategic platform that supports consumer awareness, responsible business practices and closer collaboration between policymakers, industry players and the public.

BICE 2026 also placed strong emphasis on community welfare through the organisation of Jualan Rahmah, where daily essentials were offered at affordable prices. This initiative was welcomed by visitors and demonstrated the commitment of organisers and participating agencies to help ease the cost of living while ensuring the benefits of the expo reached a wider segment of society.

The closing ceremony also featured the presentation of awards to winners of various programmes and competitions held throughout the expo. Among the highlights was Borneo Star Talent, which attracted participants from Indonesia, Sabah and Sarawak. The programme served as a meaningful platform to identify and nurture creative talents across the Borneo region, particularly among young participants.

The successful conclusion of the expo further strengthened BICE’s standing as a high-impact regional platform that integrates consumer engagement, business opportunities and cultural exchange.
