Projek Ihsan Syawal 2026 Strengthens Batu Kitang Unity

KUCHING, March 29 — The spirit of cooperation and compassion was clearly reflected at the Batu Kitang Village Community Hall on Sunday as YB Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang attended the Charitable Project for Syawal 2026, held in conjunction with the festive celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The programme, co-sponsored by Kuching City Lions Club, SMK St Teresa Leo Club, Leo Club SM Lodge and Leo Club St Joseph’s Private School, was organised with the support of Kampung Batu Kitang and its residents. The event aimed to deliver contributions to selected recipients while strengthening community bonds during the Syawal season.

The programme began at 8.30 am with the arrival of Leo Club members and representatives from the Kuching City Lions Club. Ten donation recipients were also present, followed by invited guests including the Chairman of the Residents’ Association of Kampung Batu Kitang and community members. A light game session was held to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere among attendees.
