Street Lighting Upgrade in Pujut Boosts Safety for Residents

KUCHING – During a recent field visit to the N.74 Pujut constituency, Miri City Council Mayor YB Adam Yii inspected the progress of the street lighting improvement project under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

The initiative, covering Pujut 1 to 10, aims to enhance safety and security for residents by ensuring brighter and more reliable lighting along key roads.

The mayor emphasised that well-lit streets play a crucial role in reducing potential security concerns, allowing residents to feel safer when returning home at night.

He highlighted that improving public infrastructure, particularly street lighting, remains one of his ongoing priorities in serving the community.
