KUCHING, April 12 — Police in Padawan are seeking public assistance to locate an 18-year-old girl who has been reported missing since April 8.
According to a statement released by the Padawan District Police Headquarters, a missing person report was lodged at the Batu Kawa Police Station at approximately 4.55 pm today.
The missing individual has been identified as Nursofea Binti Jamari, an 18-year-old Malay female. She was last seen wearing a brown long-sleeve T-shirt and black long jeans.
Police said the teenager was reported missing from Kampung Temenggong, located along Matang Road near the Kuching Water Well area. The time of her disappearance was recorded as 12.01 am on April 8.
Authorities have urged members of the public to come forward with any information that may assist in locating the missing teenager. Individuals who may have seen her or have relevant details are advised to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Yusman Bin Jemain, at 019-8866740.
Alternatively, the public can reach the Padawan District Police Operations Room at 082-862233 or report to any nearby police station.
Padawan District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, confirmed that efforts are ongoing to trace the teenager’s whereabouts.
The police emphasised the importance of community cooperation in such cases and urged anyone with information to act promptly.
The case remains under investigation.
