JAIS Hosts First Muqabalah Dakwah for Quarter 2026 in Kuching

KUCHING – The Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) has successfully held the First Muqabalah Dakwah for Quarter 2026, with the programme taking place on 27 April at Level 10 of the Kuching Division Islamic Religious Office.

The event was officiated by Sahibus Siyadah Tuan Haji Mual bin Haji Suaud, Director of JAIS, who underscored its role in strengthening dakwah governance across the state.

The Muqabalah Dakwah programme serves as a strategic platform for officers and stakeholders to deliberate on improvements in the delivery of religious outreach.

Its primary aim is to ensure that dakwah remains relevant, inclusive, and accessible to communities of diverse backgrounds.

A highlight of the event was the launch of ‘Quick Notes Dakwah’ materials, designed to provide practical guidance for officers in their daily work.

These resources, together with brochures on “Getting to Know Islam”, were distributed to division representatives, equipping them with tools to enhance their engagement with the public.

The programme concluded with an interactive ‘Open-Mic’ session, which allowed participants to share experiences, propose solutions, and exchange ideas on challenges faced in the field.
