APM Kapit Responds to Emergency Healthcare Case

KAPIT – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Kapit District responded swiftly to an emergency illness case on 15 June 2026 after receiving a call from the public regarding a semi-conscious victim in Sawang Village.

The District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) received the alert at 2.55pm, prompting immediate mobilisation of four APM members from the Alpha Squad.

Travelling 18 kilometres to Simpang Serugang, the team arrived at the scene within minutes. Upon arrival, officers found the victim in a semi-conscious state with weakened limbs.

Initial treatment was administered on-site before the patient was transported to Kapit Hospital using the Kingo Ambulance (VPE 8438).

The transfer began at 3.30pm, and the patient reached the hospital safely at 3.40pm. The operation was completed by 3.50pm, with the team returning to PKOD Kapit shortly after.

Officials confirmed that the situation was handled smoothly, with adequate equipment and personnel ensuring the victim received timely medical care.
