Drainage Upgrade Works Begin at Taman Sri Emas, Batu Kawah

BATU KAWA – The long-awaited drainage upgrading project for the Taman Sri Emas residential area along Stapok Utama Road has officially commenced, following approval secured by Batu Kawa assemblyman Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

The project comes after years of concern from residents, who reported that the drainage system had not undergone significant improvements for decades.

Many sections had deteriorated severely, leading to poor water flow and raising fears of flooding during heavy rainfall.

Residents voiced their concerns through the N14 Batu Kawa Service Centre, urging authorities to take action.

Their requests were subsequently channelled to the relevant agencies, resulting in the approval of the upgrading works.

Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian highlighted that the project reflects the government’s commitment to addressing community needs and improving infrastructure in residential areas.
