The operation began at approximately 10.30 am and lasted for about an hour. Upon arrival, the team discovered that a Mercedes Astro 4430 low loader trailer was completely destroyed, while the backhoe excavator sustained partial damage estimated at 18 per cent. Fortunately, the fire did not spread to the nearby workshop structure.

The response was led by PBK I Badrulhisam Bujang, who served as the operation commander. He was supported by PBK II Mazlan Abu, PBB Ammar Asraf Azmi, PBB Wan Nur Asraf Wan Fauzi, and PBB Caesar Bantin Barau. The control room was managed by PBB Ralph Abdullah.

Firefighters employed the RECEO method to tackle the blaze, using a single assistant line from the machinery pump to extinguish the flames.

Due to the absence of a nearby hydrant or open water source, the fire engine had to repeatedly refill from a distant hydrant, adding complexity to the operation.

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) also assisted, with two members from the Sibu Jaya branch present at the scene.
