JPJ Miri Delivers Road Safety Lecture to MOH Drivers

MIRI – The Road Transport Department (JPJ) Sarawak, through its Miri branch, conducted a lecture on road safety and technical offences for drivers under the Ministry of Health (MOH) Miri Division on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

The session was held at the UTC Miri Meeting Room and attended by 27 participants, including drivers and MOH management officers.

The programme was delivered by Tuan Mohamad Nasir bin Hj. Abdul Latiff and Encik Rejal bin Lepi, who emphasised the importance of compliance with traffic laws and safe vehicle practices.

The lecture highlighted common technical offences detected during enforcement operations, such as improper vehicle maintenance and failure to adhere to safety regulations.

Participants were reminded that road users carry a shared responsibility in ensuring safety for themselves and others.

The speakers also stressed that awareness and discipline are key to reducing accidents and promoting safer roads.
