Election Commission Meets Sarawak Police on Poll Preparations

KUCHING – The Sarawak Police Commissioner, YDH CP Datuk Mohamad Zainal bin Haji Abdullah, welcomed a courtesy visit from the Secretary of the Election Commission of Malaysia (ECM), YBhg. Datuk Khairul Shahril bin Idrus, at the Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters on 15 June 2026.

The meeting was held in the guest room of the headquarters and focused on strengthening cooperation between the police and the Election Commission ahead of upcoming elections.

The visit provided a platform to discuss key matters relating to election management in Sarawak. Among the topics addressed were security arrangements at polling stations, logistics planning, and coordination between agencies to ensure the electoral process runs smoothly.
