KUCHING – Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) carried out a benchmark visit to PUSAKA on 7 July 2026 as part of the Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Award (AIGA) initiative.
The session, held at the PUSAKA Board Meeting Room, was designed to strengthen collaboration and share best practices in corporate governance and integrity management.
The delegation, comprising 14 representatives led by Encik Mohamad Rafiq Bin Latif, Head of the Administration Division at TBS, was welcomed by PUSAKA’s Assistant General Manager of Administration, Mrs. Hajah Suraya Binti Mohamad Ali.
A briefing was later delivered by Tuan Haji Nadzam Al Rush Bin Datu Haji Putit, Assistant General Manager of PUSAKA’s Risk and Integrity Management Division.
The visit provided TBS with insights into PUSAKA’s approach to embedding transparency, accountability and integrity within its organisational framework.
Officials highlighted that the session was not only about learning governance strategies but also about building stronger networks between agencies committed to anti-corruption efforts.
Both parties exchanged views on enhancing internal control systems, improving management efficiency and cultivating a culture of integrity.
The discussions underscored the importance of adopting proactive measures to prevent corruption and ensure that governance structures remain robust and effective.
PUSAKA expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that such exchanges contribute to the delivery of better public services.
The organisation emphasised that integrity and transparency are central to its operations and that collaboration with agencies like TBS helps reinforce these values across Sarawak’s institutions.
The AIGA benchmark visit reflects Sarawak’s broader commitment to strengthening governance standards and promoting ethical practices in public administration.
By sharing experiences and strategies, agencies aim to build resilience against corruption and foster trust among stakeholders.
Officials concluded the session with optimism that continued cooperation will lead to stronger governance frameworks, ensuring that public institutions operate with integrity and accountability.
The visit also highlighted the role of inter-agency collaboration in advancing Sarawak’s vision of transparent and effective governance.
