Established in 2009, Wishesland Kuching is a non-profit organisation founded by parents and volunteers committed to providing care, support, and rehabilitation services for individuals with Cerebral Palsy and their families.
The organisation continues to play a vital role in empowering this community through programmes that enhance well-being and encourage social inclusion.
Beyond fundraising, the food fair also serves to raise public awareness about Cerebral Palsy and to encourage wider community involvement in supporting persons with disabilities.
In her speech, Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri praised the initiative, noting its importance in ensuring that vulnerable groups receive the assistance and opportunities they need.
She emphasised that such programmes reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening welfare services and fostering inclusive development.
JKMS expressed appreciation to Wishesland Kuching and all partners involved for their dedication and teamwork.
The department highlighted that initiatives like this not only provide financial support but also inspire greater community solidarity in championing the welfare of individuals with disabilities.
The success of the Wishesland Kuching Charity Food Fair 2026 demonstrates the power of collaboration between government agencies, non-profit organisations, and the public.
With continued support, the centre hopes to expand its services and provide better rehabilitation opportunities for those in need.
