Sarawak Premier Pays Final Respect to Datuk Kamil

KUCHING – The Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, paid his last respects to the late Datuk Kamil bin Misuari on 19 June 2026.

The Premier visited the family residence of Datuk Kamil, husband of the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development and Member of Parliament for Santubong, YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy binti Haji Shukri. His arrival was warmly received by Nancy Shukri and members of the bereaved family.

Earlier in the day, the body of Datuk Kamil arrived at Kuching International Airport at 1.40pm before being taken to his home in Taman Serira, Jalan Menggris, Petra Jaya.

The funeral arrangements later continued with burial at the Samariang Islamic Cemetery. During his visit, the premier expressed his condolences to Nancy Shukri and her family.

He prayed that Allah SWT grant mercy upon the deceased, forgive his sins, and place his soul among the faithful.

The premier also conveyed his hope that the family would be blessed with strength and patience in facing their loss.
