ROBAN & KABONG – The Saratok District Council has successfully conducted a two-day food handling course across Roban and Kabong, aimed at improving hygiene practices and ensuring safer food preparation within the community.
The training, delivered by Dual Aces Resources, brought together 31 participants from both towns. Roban recorded the highest turnout with 23 attendees, while Kabong contributed eight participants.
The course was designed to strengthen awareness among food handlers about the importance of adhering to proper hygiene standards, thereby safeguarding consumer health.
Sessions covered essential topics such as safe food storage, prevention of contamination, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Trainers emphasised that food safety is not only a legal obligation but also a moral responsibility, as it directly affects the well-being of the wider community.
Participants were guided through practical demonstrations and interactive discussions, ensuring that the knowledge gained could be applied effectively in their daily work.
